How I Work

Clear, focused support for R&D and innovation without unnecessary delays or complications.

At Canopy R&D, I make it easy for clients to get the support they need without unnecessary delay, complexity, or risk.

Whatever the challenge, I offer flexible, focused input designed to deliver real results.

Confidentiality Comes First

You can speak freely and openly. I treat anything you share; technical, strategic, or commercial as confidential from the outset. I’m fully aware of the importance of intellectual property, and I’ll never use or disclose what’s shared without your explicit prior agreement.

If a formal NDA is required, I’ll gladly sign one. But I also believe in moving fast and that’s based on trust and avoiding un-necessary delays.

Who Owns What?

  • My thinking, tools and frameworks remain mine and may be used across different projects.

  • The specific ideas, outputs, and tools we create together during a project? Those are yours.

  • If we co-develop something with broader potential, I’m open to a fair, shared-use model, based on transparency and mutual benefit.

Working Style

  • Collaborative: I work best embedded into your team as a trusted thought partner.

  • Pragmatic: I’ll focus on outcomes, not theory, and avoid over-engineering the process.

  • Flexible: I adapt to what you need, whether that’s strategic thinking, sleeves-rolled-up delivery, or an honest second opinion.

Client Engagement

  • A free, no-commitment idea generation session to see how I can help

  • Flexible commercial arrangements — including fixed-fee, phased, or outcome-based approaches

  • Clear, direct communication and a genuine interest in what success looks like for you

My Values

  • Integrity: I’ll always tell you what I think, even if it’s not what you want to hear.

  • Impact: I only take on work where I believe I can make a real difference.

  • Trust: Everything starts with mutual respect and a shared understanding of what matters.

Let’s make something impactful happen
